Norma Jean Morton, age 84, of Sunman Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Ripley Crossing in Milan. Born July 22, 1929 in Ripley County, she was the daughter of Buryl and Gretna Nickel Corson. Norma married Ellsworth Morton on June 14, 1947 and he preceded her in death on July 21, 1977. After the passing of her husband, she worked at Campbell Hausfauld and was a cook at Klumps Tavern. Norma was a very good fisherman, loved to hunt mushrooms, and just be outdoors. She always had a garden and liked canning what she grew. Those surviving who will cherish Norma's memory include children; Bob (Jane) Morton of Greensburg, Suzanne (Darrell) Thomas of Columbus, IN, Diana (Jerry) Ertel of Batesville, Debbie (Mike) Tower of Naples, FL, Ginger (Mike) Troxell of Columbus, IN, and Brian (Kelli) Morton of Ross, OH; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son Billy Morton, and brother Charles. Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
