Jeanette "Irene" Norman, 92, of Brookville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Brookville Healthcare Center. She was born June 6, 1921 in Sharptown, Indiana to Frank and Mabel Sellers Colgate. She married Willis Willard Norman in March of 1938, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1973. She had been self-employed as a Home Health aide and previously worked at Elsie Dreyer Nursing Home. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed cooking and bird watching. Those left to honor Jeanette's memory include her children; Willis (Donna) Norman Jr. of Brookville, Merle E. Norman of Mt. Carmel, Alma (Dave) Hill of Brookville, and Donald Norman of Laurel; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 9 great, great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Bill, Ohmar, Bradley, Johnny, and Raymond Grant Colgate; daughter, Mabel Weston; grandson, David Weston, granddaughter Donna Bath, and great-great grandson, Gavin Weston.Friends may visit with Jeanette's family from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Perry Booso, Pastor of Brookville Church of Christ, will officiate the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
