Jeffrey Lynn Oelker died Wednesday, May 6, 2015 due to a farm accident. Born on September 27, 1954 to Marjorie (Bohl) and Robert Oelker of Lawrenceburg. Jeff was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Lawrenceburg. On July 4, 2009 he married Joy M. Allen at Bible Baptist Church in Metamora. Jeff was a supervisor of the maintenance and grounds at Mount Saint Joseph University in Delhi, Ohio. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Metamora and loved spending time with his family and farming. Besides his parents, Jeff is survived by wife, Joy; children, Chris Oelker of Cincinnati; Kara Oelker of Sunman; Mary and Mark Hensley of Metamora, and Marci and Travis Smith of Noblesville; grandchildren, Jacoba and Zach Hensley, Jaymi and Mayla Hensley, and Xavier and Parker Smith; sister, Cindy (Tom) Moreo of Toledo, OH; brother Dale (Tonja) Oelker of Louisville, KY; 4 nieces, 1 nephew and 1 great niece. Also surviving are three sisters-in-law, Judy M. Allen, Jenny (Kenny) Stone, and Jerri (Chris) Shorter. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Bible Baptist Church in Metamora, 19101 US-52. Funeral services, officiated by Rev. Ron McCulloch will be on Monday at 10 a.m. at the church. Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, Brookville, is handling the arrangements.
