Jeraldine Hinson (née Laymance), of Henderson, Nevada, and formerly New Castle, Indiana, was born on September 30, 1945, in Pilot Mountain, Tennessee, the loving daughter of William and Della York Laymance.

After graduating from Chrysler High School, she attended Indiana University East, where she obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. Her long and devoted career in nursing spanned more than 40 years, during which she cared for countless patients with compassion and dedication.

Though born in Tennessee, Jeraldine spent much of her life in New Castle, Indiana. She later lived in Merritt Island, Florida, and spent a period of time in Bolingbrook, Illinois, before moving for the final time to Henderson, Nevada, to be closer to her son, Larry Alcorn. On Thursday, December 4th, 2025, at the age of 80, Jeraldine passed away peacefully at home with family by her side in Henderson, Nevada.

In addition to her son, Larry Alcorn, Jeraldine will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Patti L. Horak; three brothers, Larry Laymance, Mike Connor, and Phillip Connor; as well as one sister, Patricia Laymance Pierce.

In honoring Jeraldine's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no public services.
