John E. Lang, 89, of Fairfield, OH, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Veterans Hospital in Cincinnati, OH.John was born on July 26,1922 in Brookville to Edward and Anna (Fliehman) Lang. After serving as a Ranger with the Army during World War II during which time he became a prisoner of war and was awarded the Purple Heart, he married Ruth F. Beesley on Thanksgiving Day in 1946 and before retiring from Magnavox and moving to Fairfield they lived in Eastern Tennessee.Survivors include his Wife of 65 years, Ruth F. Lang a Sister - Mary Crawley of Cedar Grove, IN and several Nieces and Nephews.Vistation on Saturday, February 11 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Cook Funeral Home 929 Main St Brookville, Indiana. Funeral Mass at St Michael Church- Brookville, Indiana on Saturday, February 11 and starting at 11:00 AM with burial following in St Michael Cemetery - Brookville, Indiana.
