Joseph E. Stenger was born on September 14, 1979 in Oxford, Ohio, the son of Edward and Kathy Schwegman Stenger. He married Tiffany Amrhein on June 25, 2005 at the Sisters of St. Francis Chapel in Oldenburg. Joe was a farmer and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1010 and St. Michael Catholic Church. He was a fan of Nascar, his favorite driver was Dale Ernhardt, Jr. Joe loved spending time with his family and was always willing to help anyone in need. He passed away September 1, 2015 in Fairland, Indiana, at the age of 35. Those surviving who will cherish his memory include his wife, Tiffany Stenger; children, Isabella, MacKinzi and Jacob; parents, Ed and Kathy Stenger of Brookville; mother and father-in-law, Donna and Joe Amrhein, also of Brookville; siblings, MaryKay (Dan) Nobbe of Batesville, Jenny (Chris) Kent of Edgewood, KY, Jim (Chelsea) Stenger of Brookville, and Susie (Adam) AlDulijan of Independence, KY; sister-in-law, Kelli Amrhein of Brookville, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his grandparents, Joe was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Stenger and an aunt, Judy Bedel. Friends may visit with Joe's family on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m., with Rosary at 3:30, at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Father Sean Danda, is Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
