Joyce S. Hofer, age 77, of Brookville, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Waters of Batesville. Born June 23, 1937, at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Lucy Sammis Hofer. Joyce was a homemaker her entire life, and tended to the family farm. She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. Joyce enjoyed gardening and reading. Survivors include many cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Lucy, and brother, Robert Hofer. Funeral services are at St. Thomas Lutheran Church on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Ladonna Webb officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
