Julia Ree Nichols, of Dillsboro, was born on August 3, 1925, in Brooksburg, Indiana a daughter to Elmer Winston and Alta Mae Reamer Gulley.  On July 18, 1942 she married Leonard Elmer Nichols.  Julia was a homemaker, raising 7 children.  She was active for numerous years as a Girl Scout leader in Dearborn County.  On Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the age of 92, Julia passed away in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Survivors include children, Barbara Clark of Milan, Wayne and Richard Nichols, both of Anderson, Mary Johnson of Kileen, TX, Charlie Nichols of San Antonio, TX, and Pamela Main of Lawrenceburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Thelma Reese of Milan, IN and Barbara Saver of Meridian, MS.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Leonard Elmer Nichols and several brothers and sisters.
