Kathleen M. Back, of Brookville, was born on August 30, 1948 in Batesville, Indiana, the daughter of Malcolm J. and Rosemary (Merkel) Wurtz.  She attended St. Anthony School, Oldenburg Academy and Sunman High School.  Kathleen was a homemaker.  On Thursday, August 17, 2017, at the age of 68, Kathleen passed away.

Those surviving who will cherish Kathleen's memory include her daughter, Vanessa Shaw of Brookville; grandsons, Aaron and Austin Shaw; sisters, Jane (Jerry) Wood of Hamilton, Connie (Kevin Milburn ) Napier of Greensburg, Renee (Joe) Simon of Osgood, brother, Tim (Marcy) Wurtz of Batesville, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.
