Kathleen "Kat" Gunter, 75, of Tavares passed away on Saturday, June 26, 2010.She was born December 9, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio amd moved to Lake County in 1989 from Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a retired school bus driver. Mrs. Gunter attended Mid Lakes Christian Church in Tavares and was a member of the Lake County Eagles. She is survived by her husband, Larry Gunter of Tavares, FL; brother, Larry Grills and sister Lillian Powell, both of Batesville, IN; step-sons, Vincent Gunter and James Gunter, both of Dupo, IL; and 13 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Brandenburg.The visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana 47041. The funeral service will be Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman, Indiana.Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
