Kathleen E. Shannon, of Sunman, was born on November 8, 1953, in Dayton, Kentucky a daughter to Harold "Jack" and Helen C. Miller Shannon.  She obtained her nursing degree from St. Francis School of Nursing and worked in healthcare for many years.  Kathleen loved to read and spend time with family.  She also enjoyed watching scary movies and researching family genealogy.  On Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 71 she passed away peacefully at her residence with family by her side.

Those surviving who will cherish Kathleen's memory include her daughters, Jessica Draude (Keith Millson), and Jennifer (Jason Wilson) Draude-Wilson; two grandchildren, Kieran Draude and Kayden Millson.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patricia Clark.
