Kathy A. Helton, age 55, of Brookville, IN died April 12, 2013 at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, OH. She was born on May 12, 1957 in Corpus Christi, Texas to James C. and Margie K. (Farmer) Vest. Kathy married John A. Helton on September 11, 1976 at the First Baptist Church in Brookville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brookville. She had been a stay at home Mom and baby-sitter. She enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving family members include her husband John; 4 children, Sherri Helton of Brookville, Amy C. Cavins of Brookville, Kellie D. (Scott) Lewis of Milan, and Caleb Helton of Brookville; 9 grandchildren, McKenzie, Reagan, Samuel, Katie Lou, Brettley, Jacob, Christopher, Sophie, and Wyatt; siblings, Mike and Elaine Vest, David and Kathy Vest, and Donna and Mark Cecil, all of Brookville. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends may visit with Kathy's family from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Brookville. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2012 at the church with Rev. Michael L. Holman officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
