Lana L. Pence, 73, of Brookville, Indiana, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at McCullough Hyde-Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born February 14, 1940 in Metamora, Indiana, to Robert Robinson and Cleo Hunter Robinson. She married George E. Pence on November 18, 1961 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1990. She had been the secretary at Caring First Home Health in St. Leon. She was a member of Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, golfing, was an avid NASCAR fan - especially the #88, and loved cheering for the UK Wildcats. Her family was most precious to her, especially her grandchildren. Left to honor Lana's memory are her children, Lisa Pence of Greendale, Indiana, and Lori Pence and Kathy Howard, both of Brookville; grandchildren, Alex Pence, Kelsey Howard and Jordyn Howard; and one great grandchild, Kayden Semple; sister, Glenna Edwards of Brookville; brothers, James (Lorraine) Robinson of Brookville, and Ron Robinson of Mt. Enterprise, Texas.Besides her husband and parents, Lana was preceded in death by brothers Ralph and Don Robinson. Visitation is Monday, April 8, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday at Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Rob Edwards, will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.Memorial donations may be directed to the Benevolent Fund at Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church.
