Obituary

Larry E. Napier, age75, of Olney, IL passed away January 3 at 3:37 pm in Washington, Indiana. He was born December 20, 1939 in Louellen, Kentucky to Celia (Pennington) and Patrick H. Napier. He graduated from Milan High School in Milan, Indiana. Larry was a US Army Veteran who served in Germany from 1961 - 1964. He retired from Gamco/Sunspring in Henderson, Kentucky and was a member of the American Legion. He is survived by two sons: Matthew L. Napier of Henderson, KY and Nathan (Tammy) Napier of Olney, IL, brothers: Bill Napier of Springfield, OH, Byrd Napier of Columbus, IN, Logan Johnson of Sunman, IN, Carl Johnson of Moores Hill, IN, Junior Johnson of Sunman, IN, and Jack Johnson of Batesville, IN, sisters: Joan Bowcock of Fairfield, OH, Lexa Baker of Milan, IN, Carolyn Johnson of Milan, IN and Edna Mae Himes of Okeana, OH, three grandchildren: Danielle Napier of St. Louis, Andrew Napier and Nicholas Napier both of Olney, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernetta "Kay" (Davis) Napier, his parents, his step-mother, Eunice Johnson Napier, brothers: Tom Napier, Andy Napier and Ernie Napier, sisters: Virginia Thompson, Violet McFadden and Henrietta Moberly. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, IN 47041. Family and friends may gather for visitation thirty minutes prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman, Indiana at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests, memorial contributions be made to This Able Veteran, 1714 South Wolf Creek Road, Carbondale, IL 62902.
