Laura M. "Aunt Mique" Schoettmer, of Sunman, IN, was born on August 14, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a daughter to Jim and Miriam Metz Schoettmer. She worked for Western Southern Life Insurance Company of Cincinnati, OH, where she was the head of the secretarial staff. On October 17, 2015, at the age of 86, she passed away at her residence.

Those surviving who will cherish Laura's memory include nephews, Michael (Mary) Ruehl, Bruce Ruehl, and John (Elizabeth) Ruehl; great nieces and nephews, Madison, Matthew, and Sarah Ruehl. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pat Ruehl.
