Lucille C. Bischoff, formerly of Cedar Grove, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at her residence in Greendale, Indiana. She was born June 23, 1924 in St. Leon, Indiana to Albert and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Stenger.She married John W. Bischoff on November 28, 1946 at St. George Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and he preceded her in death on December 10, 1982. She served in the Signal Corps in Cleveland, Ohio during WWII. With her husband, Lucille owned and operated John and Lucille's Tavern in Cedar Grove as well as the Bischoff Package Store. She was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Leon Post #464 American Legion. Lucille also enjoyed traveling with her family.Those left to honor Lucille's memory include her children, James (Beth) Bischoff of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sandra (Dan) Hill of Brookville, John (Mindy) Bischoff of Tampa, Florida, and Paul (Susie) Bischoff of Guilford, Indiana; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by; grandson, Kris Bischoff; sisters, Marie Werner, Mildred Bischoff, Ann Schweitzer and Alvina Frey; brothers, Leo Stenger and Harold Stenger.From 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 13, 2013 friends may visit with Lucille's family at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana. Rosary will begin at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Friday, June 14, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. John Hartzer and Rev. Sean Danda officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions in honor of Lucille may be directed to Greendale Life Squad and the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Leon Post #464 American Legion.
