Marjorie Amelia Abshear ( Vohland ), 85, of Peppertown, Indiana currently was living with her daughter, Charlotte Abshear who was her caregiver and constant companion, passed Away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.She was born March 26, 1926 in Peppertown, Indiana to Gustov and Goldie (Schuneman) Vohland.She married Virgil Abshear on November 14, 1951 at the Lutheran Church in Batesville, and who preceded her in death on February 16, 1999.Survivors include her children - Geneva ( Gilbert ) Harris of Connersville, IN Rebecca ( Paul ) McLaughlin of Hamilton, OH Charlotte Abshear of Brookville, IN Paul Abshear of Lawrenceburg, IN Mark Abshear of Bardstown, KY 11 Grandchildren 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Sister- Muriel Hunter, Brother- James Vohland, Niece- Marjorie Metcalf, Great Nephew- Jodie Metcalf.Visitation on Friday, November 11 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home - Brookville, IN and on Saturday, November 12 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at the Elm Grove Baptist Church - Metamora, IN.Funeral service at the Elm Grove Baptist Church 19278 Haytown Hill Road Metamora, IN on Saturday, November 12 and starting at 1:00 PM with burial following in the Peppertown Cemetery - Peppertown, IN.
