Marie Dunbar, age 90, of Brookville, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Brookville Healthcare. Born July 16, 1924 in Perry County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William and Jesse Clark Deaton. She worked for the Franklin Casket Company in Brookville. Marie was active in the Whitewater Valley Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, and she loved to sing and play music. Survivors include brothers, Claude Deaton of Vevay, Doy Deaton of Columbia, SC, and Tucker Deaton of Whitesburg, KY; sisters, Ethel Handley, and Lottie Hofer, both of Brookville, Bobbie Ratliff of Indianapolis, Margie Meyer of Brookville, and brothers, Bill Deaton and Max Deaton of Brookville. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends, including best friend, Viola Huber of Brookville. She was preceded in death by her parents. In keeping with Marie's wishes there will be no visitation or services. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
