Marlene J. Fulnecky, age 67, of Brookville, entered this life on June 16, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the daughter of Richard G., Sr. and Kathryn Turnball Engle. Marlene retired from the banking industry after many years of service. She was a member of the Franklin County Humane Society and was affectionately known as the "Tool woman." Marlene was an avid gardener and seamstress, and enjoyed making jewelry. She idolized her grandchildren, who will miss her very much. Marlene passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville. Those surviving who will cherish Marlene's memory include her husband of 10 years, Frank Fulnecky; their son, Patrick, daughter, Susan (Mark) Bell of Seattle, WA; son, Tom Kane of Ft. Thomas, KY; grandchildren, Max and Lilly; sisters, Marsha Sandusky and Mary Wiard, and brother Jim Hurley, all of Ft. Wayne, IN. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Engle. A Celebration of Marlene's life is planned for Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Visitation is from 12 noon until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Franklin County Humane Society.
