Marvin Abplanalp, 89, of Sunman, passed away at The Waters Nursing Home in Batesville on Friday, September 14th.Marvin was the son of Jesse and Mamie ( Sparks ) Abplanalp and was born on September 14, 1923 on the family farm near Spades, Indiana. Marvin was a farmer all his life and a life time member of the Sunman Community Church. He was an avid supporter of community activities and was a Past President of the Ripley County Farm Bureau, a member of Gideons International and for 25 years served as an assistant in Religious activities at Muscatatuck. He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law - Elwin L. and Virginia Abplanalp of Sunman as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews. A graveside service will be held at St Paul Cemetery - Sunman, Indiana on Tuesday, September 18 and starting at 9:00 AM with burial following.Memorial donations may be made to the Sunman Community Church.
