Obituary

Marvin Boyle, of Newberry, Florida and formerly of Brookville, was born on September 20, 1925 in Newport, Kentucky, a son to Curtis and Cathryn Becker Boyle.  After graduating from Brookville High School he joined the merchant marine, serving his country during WWII.  Marvin later entered the Unites States Air Force.  After some years as an auto salesman for Datsun/Nissan, he continued his education at the Maritime Institute of Technology and was in the merchant marine for over 30 years, attaining the rank of Captain.  Marvin married Dorothy Amrhein on February 5, 1951 in Biloxi, Mississipi and she survives.  He was a member of the Lion's Club in Florida, the American Quarter Horse Association and the Internal Organization of Masters, Mates and Pilots.  On Friday, September 7, 2018 at the age of 92, Marvin passed away at Ayers Health and Rehab in Trenton, Florida.

Those surviving who will cherish Marvin's memory include his wife of over 67 years, Dorothy Boyle of Newberry, FL; 2 daughters, Arlene (Larry) Price of Newberry, FL, and April Boyle (Elizabeth Feeser) of Harrison, OH, and one granddaughter, Kayla J. Price of Newberry, FL.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Rev. Anne Eason will officiate the services at the funeral home at 12 noon.  The Brookville American Legion Bernard Hurst Post #77 will present military honors graveside at Maple Grove Cemetery.
