Matthew C. Anderson, of Sunman, was born on June 7, 1977 in Batesville, the son of David E. and Karen D. Batta Anderson.  After graduating from East Central, he continued his education at Indiana State University.  Matthew was the head Network Engineer for ETC and very active in their sponsored activities.  He volunteered many hours with the Big Brother/Big Sister program in Greensburg.  Matthew loved sports and was known as a "loud" Reds and Bengals fan.  He was a caring brother, son, uncle, and friend who would do anything for family and friends.  On Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the age of 39, Matthew passed away.

Those surviving who will cherish Matthew's memory include his parents, David and Karen Anderson; sisters, Amy (Scott) Schuh, and Jill (Rick) Dillion; nephews, Chance, Brad, Kyle and Adam, and one niece, Alyssa.  He is also survived by aunts, Connie Anderson and Mary Jane Fussner, and uncles, George, Dave, Dan, Roger and Nick Batta.  Matthew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Esther Anderson and Richard and Martha Batta, and step-grandmother, Jean Anderson.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  Rosary will be recited at 3:15.  Fr. Frank Eckstein will officiate a Mass of Christian burial on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
