Obituary

Michael Frank Boggs, lovingly known as Mike to most, was born on August 25, 1940, in Hamilton, Ohio. Cherished son of Robert Earl Jr. and Marion Jean Boggs (Kramer). On September 12, 1959, shortly after graduating from Fairfield High School, he was united in marriage to Linda Schwing and together they raised three sons. Mike was employed by Ralston Purina for over 38 years as a millwright. Mike and one other coworker, Mel, redesigned and built the machinery that stamps out the Corn/Wheat Chex Cereal you are eating today. In his younger years, Mike was active in football, basketball, and track and had received awards for his achievements. Everyone liked Mike; he was a generous person who found joy in helping others, and nothing meant more to him than his family. He also had a knack for making things, especially when his loving wife, Linda, or anyone who had a need for a tool, or a problem that needed fixing.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, 1pm, after a lengthy illness, Mike passed away peacefully at Majestic Health Care of Connersville.

Those surviving who will cherish Mike’s memory include his wife of over 66 years, Linda Boggs; three sons, Michael Roy Boggs, Chris Allen (Marsha) Boggs, and Tracy Lee (Jennifer) Boggs; two grandsons, Daryl and Jack Boggs; and three siblings, Janet, Carol, and Bill. Mike was preceded in death by both of his parents, Robert Jr. and Marion Boggs; one sister, Barbara; and one daughter-in-law, Sharon.

In honoring Mike’s wishes, cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life will be held on a future date.
