Mitzi B. Seiter, 85, of Brookville, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.She was born June 14, 1925 in Batesville, Indiana to George and Alma (Berens) Hirt.She was married to Ray E. Seiter who preceded her in death on January 30, 2010.Mitzi worked as a Bookkeeper for a number of businesses, owned Specialty Machining in Connersville, worked at the Brookville Public Library and assisted on the family farm, she was also known for her german potato salad, her baking and ability as a seamstress.She was a member of Saint Michaels Catholic Church, the Daughters of Isabella and the Redhatters and she also did volunteer work for the Franklin County Community Foundation, Saint Michaels and the Red Cross during WW II and was a former member of the Fairboard and also a Former Girl Scout Leader.Survivors include: Daughter Nikki (Rick) Hofer of Brookville, Indiana, Sons: Donald Seiter of Brookville, Indiana, Fred (Lynda) Seiter of Cary, Illinois, Tom (Denise) Seiter of Boise, Idaho.Grandchildren: Steven and Marla Hofer, Kyle and Rachel Hofer, Candace and Dustin Robbins, Ryan Seiter and Rachel Seiter, Great Grandchildren: Alexis Hofer, Payton and Patrick Robbins and Wyatt Hofer.Sisters: Georgene Gillman and Joan Gillman both of Brookville, Indiana, Barb Hirt of Cincinnati, Ohio, Brother: Dr. Paul Hirt of Greensburg, Indiana.She was preceded in death by her Parents and Husband.Visitation will be Thursday, January 20, 2011 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012Funeral Mass will be Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00AM at Saint Michaels Catholic Church in Brookville, Indiana in Brookville, Indiana, a Rosary will be prayed at 9:00AM at the Funeral Home before procession to Church. Rev C. Ryan McCarthy and Fr. Cyprian Berens, OFM will officiate.Burial will be in Saint Michaels Cemetery.Memorial Contributions can be directed to Operations Fund of the Franklin County Community Foundation, Saint Michael School or the Oldenburg Academy.
