Orville F. Kruthaupt, of Batesville, was born on December 30, 1927, in Peppertown, Indiana. He was the only child of Frank and Josephine (Koetter) Kruthaupt. Orville married Anna Mae Nobbe on May 23, 1951 at St. Anne's Church in Hamburg, and she preceded him in death on January 13, 2015. He served his country as part of the United States Army during the Korean War. Orville was self-employed and a farmer his entire life, and was a member of Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, anything that took him outdoors and spending time with his family. On Monday, November 2, 2015, Orville passed away at Margaret Mary Community Health at the age of 87. Those surviving who will honor Orville's memory include children, Dale (Jackie) Kruthaupt of Batesville, Steve (Mara) Kruthaupt of Batesville, Debbie (Ken) Burkhart of Greensburg, Orville (Barb) Kruthaupt Jr., Diane (Gary) Gunter, Jim (Polly) Kruthaupt, Rita (Rick) Schutte, and David Kruthaupt, all of Batesville; 20 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, Anna Mae, he was preceded in death by one grandchild, Joshua Schutte. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, November 6, 2015 at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Rev. David Kobak, will begin at 12 noon. Burial, with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Holy Family Church, St. Mary's of the Rock Church or to the Sunman Fire Department.
