Rachael Ramsey-Bamonte was born in Hamilton, Ohio, on March 9, 1973 to Doug and Carol Ramsey. She passed away suddenly early Saturday morning bringing the most precious of all gifts into the world. Rachael grew up in Franklin County and had recently been living in St. Leon for the last several years. Rachael was joined in marriage to Joe Bamonte on August 31, 2002, at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. True to Rachael's character to help others, she graduated from CCMS with a Bachelor in Mortuary Science and spent several years in the funeral industry before taking a period of time off to raise the first of three children. Rachael then went on to receive her MBA from Northern Kentucky University and was a Business Analyst for Hillenbrand Industries in Batesville. In addition to her professional career, Rachael also committed time to the Ohio Funeral Director Association - Mortuary Response Team and the Federal Disaster Mortuary Response Team. Rachael very much enjoyed being part of the St. Leon community, going out to dinner with friends and family, and her Wednesday night golf league with her girls.Rachael was preceded in death by an older brother, Russell Ramsey, but those keeping Rachael's memory alive are her parents, Doug and Carol Ramsey; sister, Lisa Ramsey; spouse Joe Bamonte; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many loving friends. Most of all, life carries on with her three children, Alexandra (11), Salvatore (5) and new baby Valentina.Visitation for Rachael will be Friday August 31, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, IN 47012. There will be a 12 noon mass on September 1 at St. John the Baptist, 509 Harrison Ave, Harrison, Ohio, followed by a Christian burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville. A wake will be hosted for Rachael following the noon mass at the St. Leon Family Life Center, 7536 Church Lane, West Harrison, IN 47060 and all are welcome to attend.Flowers in honor of Rachael can be sent to Cook Funeral Home or most appreciated donations can be made to the Olivia Rebecca Waggoner Memorial Endowment Fund.
