Raymond Pennington, age 79 of Brookville, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at his residence. Born June 25, 1935 in Baltimore, Ohio, he was the son of Lester and Linnie Retherford Pennington. Raymond married Linda Harmon on February 18, 1993 in Miami, Oklahoma and she survives. He worked 15 years at Fry Roofing and 30 years at Ford, retiring from there in 1997. He also worked at the Lawn Mower Shop in Richmond. Raymond was a member of the Eagles 1129, the 4 o'clock Club and the VFW. Those surviving who will honor Raymond's memory include his wife, Linda Harmon of Brookville; daughters, Debbie (Ron) Hoff, Angie (Phil) Nobbe, and Robin (Jeff) Kocher, all of Brookville; 5 grandchildren, Jason (Tara) Hoff, Christy (Craig) Hertel, Derik (Kehlie) Orschell, Jacob Ruf and Summer Ruf; 6 great grandchildren, Jordan and Carly Hoff, Hayley and Alexa Lattarulo, and Ryder and Lennox Orschell. Also surviving are 2 step-sons, Kenny Harmon and Rick Harmon of Kentucky; 6 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren; brothers, Wilbur "Pete" Pennington of Brookville, Robert "Corky" Pennington of Columbus, and Charles "Chuck" Pennington of Seymour; sisters, Hazel Sparks of Columbus, Geraldine Pierce of Brookville, Joy Marsh of Laurel, and Betty Jo McDaniel of Brookville. Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by brothers, Virgil and Jacob Pennington; sisters, Dorothy Wright and Irene Wells. Visitation for friends and family is Sunday, October 19, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street. The funeral service is Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
