Richard Malloni, Sr., age 79, of Sunman, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born on October 5, 1933, a son to Joseph and Thelma Walters Malloni. He married Mary Seifert on May 9, 1977 and she survives. He retired from Kirk and Blum as a sheet metal worker after 35 years of service. He enjoyed volunteering as a train conductor on the Whitewater Valley Railroad, and was in charge of the tracks. Richard was an avid golfer and Bengals fan.Besides his wife of 35 years, Mary, he is survived by; sons, Rick Malloni, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH, and Mike Malloni of Bright, IN; daughter, Diane Lauch of Canton, MI; sons, Mark Malloni of Cincinnati, OH, and Robert Malloni of Cincinnati, OH; and daughter Tina Butt of Sunman, IN; 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.Richard was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Donna Taylor, a son David Strunk, and one brother, Robert Malloni.Visitation for friends and family will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Sunman, IN. Pastor Duane Loos will officiate the funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Dearborn County Hospital and the family to assist with funeral expenses.
