Robert Dale "Bobby" Boone, 77, of Laurel, Indiana went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 19, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He died at the Lincoln Center in Connersville, Indiana.He was born March 27, 1933 on Duck Creek Road in Blooming Grove Township in Franklin County, Indiana to Lew J. and Maude S. (Johnson) Boone. He grew up in the Metamora area.He married Roselyn E. Amos of Indianapolis, Indiana, who preceded him in death on April 16, 2002.Bobby worked in the trucking and excavation business and retired from CGS in Morristown, Indiana in 1995, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time working on, and racing, cars. He loved spending time with his family and he also leaves behind many wonderful friends.Survivors include Son and Daughter-in-law, Robert Jr. and Sandy Boone of Laurel, Indiana; Son, Kenny Boone of Rushville, Indiana; 9 Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Grandchildren; two Sister's-in-law, Janice Boone of Metamora, Indiana and Margueritte Hayward of Muskogee, Oklahoma; and three Brother's-in-law, Robert Evans of Alpine, Indiana, Kenneth Wells of Flatrock, Indiana, and John Amos of Radcliff, Kentucky; as well as many dear Nieces & Nephews.In addition to his Wife, Roselyn Boone, and his parents, Lew & Maude Boone, he was also preceded in death by two Brothers, Thomas Boone and Edward Boone, and two sisters, Maxine Evans and Esther Bishop. The visitation will be Thursday, September 23, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana. The funeral service will be Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Rev. Ron McCulloch, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Metamora, Indiana, will officiate. The burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.
