Robert "Tuffy" Moorman, of Metamora, Indiana was born on June 1, 1966 in Cincinnati, Ohio, a son to Robert F. and Joan Ruehrwein Moorman. He served his country as part of the United States Navy from 1987 to 1991. Robert married Tonya Ann King on October 4, 2004 in Jellico, Tennessee. He worked for Valeo manufacturing in Greensburg and was a member of the Brookville VFW, and the FOE1129. Robert loved his Harley, enjoyed golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. He also taught himself how to play guitar and loved to play. On September 10, 2015, at the age of 49, he passed away unexpectedly at Decatur County Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Those surviving who will cherish Robert's memory include his wife, Tanya Moorman; son, Jacob Moorman of Metamora; daughter, Hailey Moorman of Covington, KY; and step-daughters, Rachel Byrd and Melissa King, and step-son Danny Smith, all of Picayune, MS; parents, Joan and Robert F. Moorman of Cincinnati; brothers, Michael (Ellen) Moorman of Ubly, MI, and Brian (Sharon) Moorman of Grey Court, SC; sisters, Kathy (Dan) Huebner of Cleves, OH, Tracy (Neal) Owens of Independence, KY, and Josie (Doug) Schwartz of Cincinnati, OH. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may visit with Robert's family on Tuesday, September, 15, 2015 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana. The family will conduct a memorial service at 6 p.m. that will be followed by military honors, provided by the Brookville VFW Post #2014, at the funeral home.
