Robert L. Mounce, of Brookville, was born on May 22, 1937 in Somerset, Kentucky, a son to Robert and Thelma Brown Mounce.  After graduating high school he advanced his education at technical college.  He worked for General Electric as an engineer for over 30 years.  Robert married Phyllis Foley and together they raised three sons.  He liked fishing and playing crossword puzzles in his spare time.  On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 81, Robert passed away at Highpoint Health in Lawrenceburg.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Mounce; sons, Ronald (Beverly) Mounce of Georgia, Jeffrey (Linda) Mounce of Wisconsin, and James Mounce of Brookville; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Evelyn (John) Goff of Somerset, KY.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lloyd Mounce.
