Robert H. Pfaff, age 88, of Brookville, passed away at his residence on Sunday, May 31, 2015. Born on September 6, 1926 in Franklin County, he was the son of Harry and Christina Perry Pfaff. After serving his country during World War II as part of the United States Navy, Robert married Nelda Swift on July 30, 1960 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville. Robert owned and operated Pfaff Moving and Storage. He was a member of the Redman, FOE 1129 and the Bernard Hurst Post #77 American Legion, participating in their firing squad. Robert served as a Brookville Town Precinct Committeeman, was a member of the Advisory Board for the Brookville Township Trustee, and participated as a Delegate to the State Democratic Convention. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Those surviving who will cherish Bob's memory include his loving wife of over 54 years, Nelda Pfaff; sons, Lloyd (Eileen) Pfaff, Harry (Carolynn) Pfaff, and daughter, Norma M. Pfaff; three grandchildren, Ashley, Eric and Jillian; one great grandchild, Xavier; sister, Norma Jean Rolfes, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Francis Hertel and Leona Dieckman. Friends may visit with Robert's family on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 10 a.m. to time of service at 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors provided by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 Brookville American Legion.
