Robert K. Shank, 87, of Indianapolis and former resident of Brookville, passed away April 23, 2012 at Wishard Hospital in Indianapolis.He was the Son of Leon and Beatrice Klopp Shank was born on April 25, 1924 in Brookville, IN. He served with the Army Air Corps during WW II and after returning home worked at Avco Corp in Richmond and then HH Roberston in Connersville.On January 1, 1949 he married Mary Charlene Dora in Connersville. His surviving family includes his Wife - Charlene his Chidren - Debra ( John )Rooney of Palm Harbor, FL., Cathy ( Tom ) Ringham of Indianapolis,IN, Shelia ( Greg ) Stephens of Russiaville, IN and Kevin ( Mary ) Shank of Schaumburg, ILalso 7 Granchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren and a Sister - Ruth Talbott-Leffler of Connersville He was preceded in death by his Parents, Sisters, Betty Shank, and Frances DeMao, Brothers, Charles and Paul Shank.Visitation on Friday, April 27 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home 929 Main St. Brookville IN 47012.Funeral Service on Saturday, April 28 at the Funeral Home and starting at 10:30 AM with burial following in the Maple Grove Cemetery - Brookville.Graveside Military Honors by Bernard Hurst Post #77 - American Legion Brookville.Donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to the Brookville United Methodist Church.
