Roger N. Apsley, 82, of Brookville, Indiana died Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Connersville, Indiana.He was born February 17, 1928 in Franklin County, Indiana to Byron and Elsie (Davis) Apsley.He was married to Berneitha N. Sherwood who preceeded him in death on February 14, 2007.He was the owner of Apsley General Construction, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean War and he was a member the Liberty Church of Christ.Survivors include a Daughter- Connie (Buddie) McEwen of Brookville, a Son- Kevin (Caryn) Apsley of Herndon, Virginia, eight Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren a Sister- Glenna Apsley of Illinois, Brothers- Tom Apsley of Idaho and Jerry Apsley of California.He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, Sister- Donna Davis, Sister and Brother in law Wilma and Lloyd Wolf.Visitation will be Monday, January 24, 2011 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012, the Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 11:00AM at the Funeral Home where David Soper of the Liberty Church of Christ wii officiate.Burial will bein Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield, Indiana with Military Honors provided by Bernard Hurst Post #77- American Legion of Brookville, doantions my be given to Camp One Way.
