Obituary

Rollie B. Allen, 82 of Delta, Colorado and formerly of Brookville, Indiana passed away April 10, 2013 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1930 in Peppertown, Indiana, a son to Hugh and Flora (Hunter) Allen. On November 29, 1963 he married Dora J. Hohman at Shiloh Wesleyan Church in Plymouth, Indiana and she survives. He was a machinist at D & M in Connersville before retiring in 1989. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Brookville. He loved working puzzles, was very active with the deaf community and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his wife of nearly 50 years, Dora, Rollie is survived by daughter Karen (Randy )Unruh of Delta, Colorado, and son Kevin (Penny) Allen of Davenport, Washington; grandchildren, Natalie (Tyler) Craft, Jordan Allen, Aubrey Allen, Seth Unruh, Abigail Unruh, Hannah Unruh, and Chloe Unruh; great-grandchildren, Allynah Craft and Amelia Craft; brothers and sisters, Finley Allen of Arizona, Oliver Allen Of Everton, Indiana, Norma Banks of Brookville, Milford Allen of Arizona, and Kenny Allen of Alquina, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Faye Hudson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Cook Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Michael L. Holman Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Brookville officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana.Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church of Brookville.
