Roxie E. Reese, 94, of Brookville, Indiana died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at Fayette Regional Healthcare System in Connersville, Indiana.She was born in Brookville, Indiana on March 21, 1916 to Joseph Warren and Mary Alpha (Jones) Lanning. She married Lowell Powell Reese on January 20, 1937. They had nine children and she spent her life taking care of her kids and keeping a home for her family. Her children shared that she had a blessed and happy life and she truly loved raising the nine of them. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of the Metamora Church of God. Survivors include two Sons and Daughters-in-law, Duane and Margie Reese of Metamora and James and Diane Reese of Brookville; four Daughters and Sons-in-law, Angie "June" and Buddy Hull of Brookville, Dorothy and Ernie Phillips of Metamora, Brenda and Paul Wilson of Metamora, and Marilyn and Kevin Clark of Batesville; three Daughters-in-law, Velma Reese, Wanda Reese, and Rosie Reese; and 22 Grandchildren and many, many Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. In addition to her Parents, her Husband, Powell, preceded her in death on November 10, 1997, as well as three Sons, Kenny Reese, Marvin Reese, and Danny Reese; Brother, Albert Lanning; and four Grandchildren, Jackie Offill, Becky Retherford, Debbie Sturgill, and Frank Offill. The Visitation will be Wednesday April 7, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM at The Metamora Church of God. Rev. Wayne Ison, Pastor of the Metamora Church of God, will officiate. Music will be provided by Stephanie Ison. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville. Grandsons, Kevin Reese, Todd Reese, Brad Bergin, Brian Wilson and Micky Wilson and Son-in-law, Kevin Clark will serve as Pallbearers. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
