Ruth Else Steuver, 92, of Crescent Springs, Kentucky passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky on October 26, 2023. She was born on January 3, 1931, to Walter Louis and Frieda Press Weber in Penntown, Indiana. In 1950, Ruth married Carroll William Steuver, Jr. (Bill), and together they raised four children. Her family spent much of their lives on the west side of Cincinnati, but as grandkids came, she and Bill moved to Crescent Springs. Ruth was the premier babysitter—she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill died in 2001 after 51 years of marriage. Afterward, Ruth met widower Harry Kenkel. They were married for 11 years before his death in 2013.

Those surviving who will cherish Ruth's memory include her children, William (Kathy Downey) Stiver, Karen (Steve) Schwaid, Rebecca (Ron) Schierer, and John Steuver; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Patrick and Peter Stiver, Ben and Adam Schwaid, Kelly Nascimento, and Heather Davis, and five great-grandchildren, Ruby, Violet, Everly, Aiden and Owen.  She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, and sister, Lois Klipfel.

Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at St. John's UCC - Penntown, 8891 E County Road 1300 N Sunman, IN 47041.  Ruth will be laid to rest next to her husband Bill in the church cemetery.
