Ryan Scott Raines, age 41, of Meridian Mississippi, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2015. He was born on July 28, 1973 in Oxford, Ohio to Herbert R. Raines and Virginia (Ginny) Fledderman Bateman. Ryan graduated from Franklin County High School in 1991 and then attended Indiana University and IUPUI in Indianapolis. He was employed by steel Structure in Meridian, Mississippi. Ryan was a member of US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation earning his Black Belt at age 16. Ryan is survived by his father Herbert (Sherry) Raines of Brookville; mother, Ginny (Phillip) Bateman of Roswell, GA; brother, Jason Raines of Brookville, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is Friday, May 8, 2015 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at All Saints Parish-St. Joseph Campus, 7536 Church Lane, St. Leon, Indiana. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Cecilia in Oak Forest. Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home in Brookville is handling the arrangements.
