Shirley E. Haley, of Metamora, was born on February 1, 1935 in Franklin County, Indiana, the daughter of Earl and Eleanor Miller Beasley.  She was the loving wife of William E. Haley, whom she married on October, 1955 in Dearborn County.  Shirley was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brookville for over 60 years, and was a devoted mother to her three children.  On Sunday, August 20, 2017 at the age of 82, she passed away at Reid Health in Richmond, with her family by her side.

Those surviving who will cherish Shirley's memory include her husband of nearly 62 years, William Haley; three daughters, Sharon Wooten of Homestead, FL, Lucinda VanMeter of Metamora, and Melinda Hartley of Villa Hills, KY; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, and sisters, Wanda Sonneberg of Troy, OH, and Mary Lou Hertel of Metamora.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Haley.

A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Brookville at 7 p.m.  Friends may gather at the church from 4 to 7 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church.  The staff of Cook Rosenberger is honored to care for the family of Shirley Haley.
