Shirley Ann Lucas, of Brookville, was born on August 28, 1933 in Rushville, Indiana, the daughter of Charles and Roselyn Mullen Bare.  She was a long time secretary at Farm Bureau Co-op and the Farm Bureau Insurance office.  Shirley enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandkids.  On Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the age of 83, she passed away at Brookville Healthcare Center.

Those surviving who will honor Shirley's memory include her daughter, Debra Lucas, and son, Rick Lucas, both of Brookville; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and one brother, Charles (Judy) Bare, Jr. of Laurel.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Lucas; twin, great grandchildren, Devin and Ariel Lucas, and brothers, Jerry and Robert Bare.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 at 11 a.m.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to service time.  Contributions in Shirley's memory are suggested to the Franklin County Humane Society.
