Shirley A. Sims, of Sunman was born on December 19, 1937 in Rainelle, West Virginia, a daughter to Woodrow and Opal Fugate Perry.  She married Elmo S. Sims and he preceded her in death on March 15, 1992.  Shirley worked at and later retired from Pamida in Batesville. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, bird watching, sewing and crocheting.  On December 17, 2015 just 2 days short of her 78th birthday, Shirley passed away at Ripley Crossing in Milan.

Those surviving who will honor Shirley's memory include her children, Ida Oberle of St. Augustine, FL, and Stewart (Donna) Sims of Sunman; grandsons, Adam Oberle of St. Augustine, FL, and Cody Sims of Sunman; granddaughter, Amanda (Matthew) Emigh of Oxford, AL, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Sims; sister, Faye Gibson; grandson, Matthew Oberle, and nephews Butch and Barry Gibson.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman.  Services, officiated by Rev. Shaun Whittington of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, will begin at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Sunman.
