Thelma Katherine Louise Cooper, age 91, of Brookville, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015 at her residence. Born November 24, 1923 in Butler Township, Franklin County, she was a daughter to Chester H. and Eleanor K. Hildenbrand Schomber. Thelma married Ray E. Cooper on July 8, 1950 at St. Michael Rectory. She was a housewife most of her life but also worked at American Kitchens of Connersville. Thelma was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church and active in their Ladies Organization and Bible studies. She enjoyed reading and loved her Lord. Those surviving who will honor Thelma's memory include daughter, Patti Cooper of Brookville, and son, Tom (Liz) Cooper of West Chester, OH; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray on July 12, 2002; brother, Calvin Schomber; nephew, Ronald Schomber and niece, Shirley K. Thompson. Pastor Susan Socha will officiate the funeral services on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation. Burial will conclude services at Maple Grove Cemetery. Family requests donations to St. Thomas Lutheran Church.
