Thomas Augustine Herring, age 19, of Sunman, Indiana passed away April 30, 2014. He was born on April 2, 1995 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Grant and Rose Rolfes Herring. Thomas was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church. He enjoyed hiking, camping, acting, film and map making, and family time. He also had a passion for classical music. Thomas' future plans included attending Purdue University and pursuing landscape architecture. He was an excellent student who had received many honors. Those surviving who will honor Thomas' memory include his parents, Grant and Rose Herring of Sunman; brothers Grant Jr., Christian, Joseph, John, and sister Marie; grandparents, Bob and Dolores Rolfes of Amelia, Ohio, as well as several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by grandparents Don and Lois Herring. Visitation for family and friends will be Monday, May 5, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana, with Rosary beginning at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Father Shaun Whittington will officiate the Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church.
