Walter H. Brown, Sr., 92, of Liberty, Indiana died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at his residence.He was born January 23, 1918 in Carlisle, Ohio to Clarence and Ardella (Method) Brown.He married Florence E. Sprow on September 29, 1938 in West Carrolton, Ohio and she survives.He was a farmer and he also worked at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Florence E. Brown; Daughter and Son-in-law, Janet and Jim Payne of Cambridge City, IN; Daughter, Betty Petticrew of Germantown, Ohio and her Special Friend, Loyse Brandenburg of West Carrollton, Ohio; Daughter and Son-in-law, Carolyn and larry Hofer of Bath, IN; Son and Daughter-in-law, Walter H. and Vicki Brown, Jr., of Connersville, IN; Son and Daughter-in-law, David and Kathy Brown of Liberty, IN; Daughter and Son-in-law, Becky and Harold Coker of Harveysburg, OH; Daughter and Son-in-law, Patty and Chip Rudiciel of Liberty, IN; and Son and Daughter-in-law, Edward and Judy Brown of Liberty, IN; 21 Grandchildren, 23 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great-Grandchldren.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 7 sister and brothers.The visitation will be Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012. The funeral service will be Friday, July 2, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. John Candarella, associated with Bible Believers Baptist Church in Dunlapsville, Indiana, will officiate. Burial will follow in Sims Cemetery in New Fairfield, Indiana. Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of Reid Memorial Hospital in Richmond, Indiana.Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chipper, Jimmy, David Michael, Junior, Justin and Edward.
