Wanda Schwing was born on February 26, 1925 in Sunman, Indiana, a daughter to James and Anna Bates Stone. She married Dale Schwing on October 19, 1942. They resided in Fairfield for many years where Wanda was a real estate broker and agent. After her husband's death, she moved to Hamilton and was active at Partners in Prime. Wanda also worked at Gold Star Chili in Fairfield and called it her "favorite job." She passed away at the age of 90 on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Doverwood Village in Fairfield. Those surviving who will cherish Wanda's memory include her daughter Cindy (Tim) Minton; grandson, Joshua (Tricia) Minton; granddaughter, Meghan (Peter) Sturni; great grandchildren, Ruth and Edith Sturni; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Schwing; sister-in-law, Arldean Harmon; nieces, Kelly (Mike) Scavo, and DeAnn Harmon; nephews, Mike Stone and Mark (Debbie) Harmon, and special friend and companion, Judy Needham. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Gary Schwing; brothers, Edward and Jack Stone, and sister, Dolly Lee. In keeping with Wanda's wishes, services will be held graveside with no visitation. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be directed to Partners in Prime, 140 Ross Avenue, Hamilton OH, 45013.
