William B. Craig, 74, of Milan, died Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the Drake Center in Cincinnati. He was born January 18, 1940 in Dearborn County, Indiana, a son of the late Wilford and Thelma (Davis) Craig. William served in the US Army from 1958 to 1963. On September 2, 1961 he married the love of his life, Margaret A. Coombs. He was a Water Well Driller for Rose, Inc. for over 30 years and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He enjoyed woodworking and time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Craig; a son, William (Janet) Craig of Milan; two daughters, Sonya Transier and Shawna Craig both of Batesville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Rick (Betty) Haessig of Milan; four sister, Shirley Craig of Sunman, Wanda Adams, Linda (Jr.) Campos and Beth (Clarence) Magers all of Milan; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Craig. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana with family friend, Diane Dittmer, leading the service. Visitation for William's family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sunman or Milan Life Squad.
